Indonesia: Arsenal FC to help children with the 'Save the Children' NGO

English club Arsenal FC have set up a project to help children in Indonesia with the help of the NGO (non governmental organisation) 'Save the Children', the club announced on the 13/07/2013. Through The Arsenal Foundation, the club has committed to donate £300k (€350k) over three years (until 2016), to provide 4,000 children in the Bandung province with enhanced vocational education and employment skills.

Having been present in the country since 1976, 'Save the Children' works to help improve the health and nutrition of children in Indonesia, as well as offering responses to emergencies. The partnership with Arsenal FC allows the NGO to develop its activities in the professional integration of young people.

The project will also provide training to 150 teachers in schools of the Bandung region. The goal is to better prepare young children before they enter the world of work.
