WME | IMG: Mark Shapiro (New York) and Ioris Francini (London) appointed co-presidents

Mark Shapiro and Ioris Francini have been appointed co-presidents of WME | IMG, the US career management, marketing, and media rights agency, on 07/11/2016. Mark Shapiro will remain based in New York (USA) and Ioris Francini in London (ENG). Both will oversee all divisions of the group, and Michael Ma will head the new Chinese subsidiary of the company in Shanghai (China), which was announced on 27/10/2016.

Prior to joining WME | IMG in 2014, Mark Shapiro was CEO of Dick Clark Productions. From 2006 to 2010, he served as director, president and CEO of Six Flags Entertainment Corporation. Shapiro also previously spent twelve years at ESPN. Francini joined IMG in 2003 as head of sales for media in Italy, before relocating to London in 2007 to lead sales across EMEA. Francini was promoted to executive vice-president of IMG Media in 2012, and then to president of IMG Media in 2014.
