The average ticket price to attend a Premier League game in 2016-17 is £31 (€35.50 as of 14/11/2016), according to a study by the English first division in partnership with the audit and consulting firm EY (Ernst & Young) which was published on 10/11/2016.

To calculate the average ticket price for an English Premier League game, the Premier League gathered data supplied by its 20 clubs, who disclosed the prices of all seating options offered for the 2016-17 season. In 2016-17, 56% of tickets have been or are sold at £30 (€34.50) or less.

"The two biggest factors governing attendance are the quality and entertainment of the football and ticket prices. The fact Premier League grounds have never been more full - a record 96.3% last season - goes some way to indicating that clubs are doing a good job in providing competitive and compelling football at a level that fans feel provides value," said Richard Scudamore, executive chairman of the Premier League on 10/11/2016.

  • The average attendance of the Premier League is currently 35,733 fans per game in 2016-17 after 11 matchdays.
