AFCON 2017: Romai Sports (UAE) succeeds Puma as the equipment supplier of Senegal

Romai Sports has become the equipment supplier of the FSF, the Senegalese Football Federation, for two years (until December 2018), announced the Emirati brand on 04/11/2016. The equipment manufacturer, headquartered in Abu Dhabi (UAE), succeeds the German brand Puma as the Senegalese supplier, whose partnership lasted from December 2004 to 31/12/2014.

"The Executive Committee (of the FSF) has agreed to the conclusion of the contract. In principle, in mid-December, it is expected that our partner will arrive (in Dakar) to finalise the formal signing, but also to present to the press shirt samples for the next AFCON," said Augustin Senghor, president of the Federation, to the Senegalese media on 04/11/2016.

The "Lions of Teranga" will be equipped by Romai Sports (founded on 18/07/2012) during the AFCON 2017 in Gabon, organised from 14/01 to 05/02/2017. While the partnership with Puma officially ended on 31/12/2014 (with the annual budget estimated at 164m francs CFA / €250,000), various teams of Senegal have worn equipment of the German brand since then, particularly during AFCON…
