2014 World Cup: the sale of three million tickets will begin on the 20/08/2013

The sale of tickets for the 2014 World Cup will start at midday on the 20/08/2014, FIFA (International Federation of Association Football) announced at a press conference for ticketing pricing on the 19/07/2013. Three million tickets will be sold across the three sales phases.

FIFA has reiterated that tickets will not be reserved for tour operators and will only be sold on its website, FIFA.com.

The company Match Hospitality AG, founded in 2007 and headquartered in Zurich, is the only one authorised to sell (directly or through licensed agents) the World Cup's hospitality programmes.

  • For international football fans, ticket prices start at $90 (€68) for the group-stage matches in Category 3, apart from the opening match, which costs $220 (€167).
