A Cameroonian delegation received in Zurich is committed to comply with FIFA requirements

A delegation from the Cameroonian government, received in Zurich (Switzerland) by Sepp Blatter, president of FIFA (International Federation of Association Football) "expressed the full cooperation of their government to solve the problems that prompted the suspension of Fecafoot (Cameroonian football federation)," said FIFA on the 18/07/2013.

On the 04/07/2013, FIFA decided to "provisionally suspend the Cameroonian Football Association...on account of government interference."

Fecafoot's president, Iya Mohammed, arrested for embezzlement on the 10/06/2013, was re-elected on the 20/06/2013, despite the fact that he was being detained by the Cameroonian authorities. Sepp Blatter officially recognised the election on the 25/06/2013, but Fecafoot's election appeals board annulled it the next day.
