The 20 clubs in the 2016-17 Premier League championship have a cumulative 235.73 million fans on the social network Facebook, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 02/11/2016. This total makes the Premier League the most popular European league on Facebook, with 11.78 million fans on average per club.

Manchester United FC are the most popular English club with 71.44 million fans on Facebook. Chelsea FC (46.75 million) and Arsenal FC (37.13 million) come in second and third place respectively.

The 20 English clubs drew about 62,600 new fans on average since October 2016, the best gain in the Top 5 leagues.
