Facebook: 212,520,000 fans in total for the 20 LaLiga Santander clubs (November 2016)

The 20 clubs in the 2016-17 LaLiga Santander championship have a cumulative total of 212,520,000 fans on the social network Facebook, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 02/11/2016. This total makes LaLiga Santander's second most popular Top 5 league on Facebook, behind the Premier League, with 10.62 million fans on average per club.

FC Barcelona are the most followed Spanish club on Facebook, with 94.61 million fans, up 204,950 (+0.2%) since October 2016. The Catalan club is closely followed by Real Madrid CF (92.56 millions fans, +0.3%). Third is Club Atletico de Madrid with 13.51 million fans, more than the following 17 clubs combined.

The Spanish clubs Deportivo Alavés (+10.5%) and SD Eibar (+9.7%) recorded the highest percentage growth on Facebook of all Top 5 clubs since October 2016.
