Facebook: 66.9 million fans in total for the 18 Bundesliga clubs (November 2016)

The 18 clubs in the 2016-17 Bundesliga championship have a cumulative total of 66.95 million fans on the social network Facebook, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 02/11/2016. In terms of average number of fans per club (3.71 million), the Bundesliga is the third most popular Top 5 league on Facebook, behind the Premier League and LaLiga Santander.

FC Bayern Munich are the most followed German club on Facebook, with 39.71 million fans, up 495,450 (+1.3%) since October 2016.

With 14.91 million fans, Borussia Dortmund is the second most popular German club on Facebook. FC Schalke 04, with 2.86 million fans, complete the podium. Eight German clubs had an increase of less than 2000 new fans since October 2016.
