eSports: beIN Sports France and Webedia acquire the TV rights to the e-Ligue 1 from the French LFP

The pay-TV group beIN Sports France and the Webedia group, specialising in online leisure and entertainment, have jointly acquired the audiovisual rights to the e-Ligue 1, from the LFP, the French League announced on 15/11/2016. beIN Sports France is a co-broadcaster of Ligue 1 and Domino's Ligue 2, alongside Canal+, in 2016-2020.

The e-Ligue 1 championship will be played via the football simulation game FIFA 17, published by EA Sports. It will pit fans of Ligue 1 clubs in a competition organised in three phases:
• A "Winter Tournament" from November 2016 to January 2017
• A "Spring Tournament" from February to March 2017
• Play-offs in May 2017
