Ligue 1: 11.26 million total Twitter followers for the 20 clubs (November 2016)

The 20 clubs in the 2016-17 Ligue 1 championship have a cumulative 11.26 million followers on the social network Twitter, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 02/11/2016. This result ranks Ligue 1 fourth in the Top 5 leagues, behind LaLiga Santander, the Premier League, and the Serie A TIM, with an average of 563,420 followers per club.

Paris Saint-Germain are the most followed French club, with 3.91 million subscribers, up 67,900 (+1.8%) compared with October 2016. Olympique de Marseille (2^nd, 1.8 million) and AS Monaco (3^rd, 1.12 million) round out the podium.

With 5.8% in follower growth (79,000 to 83,600), FC Metz, promoted in 2016-17, are the Ligue 1 club which registered the best percentage growth on Twitter between October and November 2016.

The figures included only count the primary Twitter account of each club.
