France: 10 million viewers on average for the 17 games "les Bleus" in 2016, broadcast on TF1 and M6

The French national football team drew an average of 10.06 million viewers in the 17 games played in 2016 (14 games shown on free-TV channel TF1, and 3 Euro 2016 games on the free-TV channel M6). In all, there were over 171 million cumulative viewers who watched the games of "les Bleus" in 2016.

M6 recorded the highest rating of the year, for the Euro 2016 final: Portugal - France (1-0, after extra time, the only loss of "les Bleus" in 2016) drew 20.827 million viewers on average in France (approximately 31.5% of the French population), with a peak of 23.4 million, on Sunday, 10/07/2016, for an audience share of 72.9%.

15.8 million viewers on average watched each of the seven games of the French national team in Euro 2016 (17.15 million on M6 and 14.8 million on TF1). The average for the six friendly matches was 5.7 million viewers on TF1. The four qualifying matches for the 2018 World Cup recorded 6.5 million viewers on average on TF1.

The average audience was notably boosted by the seven games of Euro 2016. Moreover, the median audience for "les Bleus" in 2016 was 6.57 million…
