LaLiga Santander: Nestlé (food), becomes global sponsor of FC Barcelona for 2016-2020

The Swiss food group Nestlé, via its Nestlé Nesquik (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and Nestlé Milo (Asia) brands, has become a global sponsor of FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) for 2016-2020, announced the club on 21/11/2016. The agreement was signed in the presence of Josep Maria Bartomeu, FC Barcelona president, and Patrice Bula, executive vice-president of Nestlé.

Nestlé will pay FC Barcelona an estimated €3m to €5m, according to Spanish media. This is the first time in its history that Nestlé has been a partner of a sports club. Nestlé and FC Barcelona will work together to "promote a healthier lifestyle and to highlight the importance of physical exercise among children. The sponsorship deal includes image, association, marketing, publicity, digital, promotion, merchandising and hospitality rights, as well as different activities with FCB Escola (the school of FC Barcelona)," stated the two organisations.
