Spain: LaLiga creates several initiatives to promote Spanish football worldwide

More than 7,000 young people aged 22 to 36 years old, living in five continents, have submitted applications to participate in the "LaLiga Global Network" 10 days after the launch of the programme, stated the Spanish League on 17/11/2016.

"LaLiga Global Network" is a programme through which the Spanish League will recruit 60 young people to represent LaLiga abroad, with the primary task being to liaise with TV rights holders in countries around the world. These 60 LaLiga employees will be chosen via a selection phase, which will end with a "final" organised at the Vicente Calderon in Madrid.

"LaLiga Global Network" is a continuation of many innovative initiatives set up by LaLiga since the start of the 2016-17 season: a fan club to promote Spanish football in China, a team of former players named ambassadors for the Spanish league abroad, and the opening an office in India (the sixth of the Spanish League abroad).
