"The Euro 2016 report on corporate social responsibility and sustainable development highlights the efforts made, and how they will have a positive effect in France," said UEFA in the publishing of the report on 24/11/2016.

"The strategy developed by UEFA and EURO 2016 SAS had clear priorities," added the European confederation:
• "Provide full access for disabled fans;
• creating a tobacco-free tournament;
• monitoring the fight against discrimination;
• environmental consideration, with Euro 2016 being certified as a sustainable event (ISO 20121)."

"Work is already underway to make our future more sustainable and create socially responsible events. It will take the energy of all stakeholders in the football family to reach this goal," said Martin Kallen, CEO of UEFA Events SA, on 24/11/2016.
