Media: the Portuguese group Sport.TV to launch a "low cost" channel on the 01/08/2013

The Portuguese satellite pay-TV group Sport.TV is launching a low-cost channel on the 01/08/2013, the company announced on the 18/07/2013. The channel, called Sport.TV Live HD will be available via a separate subscription from the group's other channels, from €9.90 per month. The channel will be available to subscribers of Sport.TV's current package, including four channels dedicated to sport, for €26.79 per month.

"This new channel is the result of careful reflection by Sport.TV and addresses, in a difficult socio-economic situation in our country, those who love the sport and do not have a Sport.TV package," the Portuguese group indicated.

Each week, Sport.TV Live will broadcast a match from the Portuguese first and second divisions as well as matches from La Liga (ESP), Bundesliga (GER), Serie A (ITA) and Ligue 1 (FRA).
