FIFA: 2017 Confederations Cup opening match, Russia - New Zealand, on 17/06/2017

Group A with Russia, New Zealand, Portugal and Mexico, Group B with the African champions (known on 05/02/2017, after the final of AFCON 2017), Chile, Australia, and Germany; these are the result of the draw for the Confederations Cup, Russia 2017, conducted in Kazan (RUS) on 26/11/2016.

The matches of the group phase of this competition, whose slogan is "The Tournament of Champions, The Dream of the Fans", will be held in Kazan, Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Sochi. The opening match, Russia - New Zealand, will be held at the Saint Petersburg Stadium on Saturday, 17/06/2017. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals.

The first semi-final will be played in Kazan, on Wednesday, 28/06/2017, between the winner of Group A and the runner-up of Group B. The next day, 29/06/2017, the other semi-final will take place in Sochi, between the winner of Group B and the runner-up of Group A.
