SV Werder Bremen (Bundesliga) posted a consolidated turnover of €108.1m during the 2015-16 fiscal year (from 01/07/2015 to 30/06/2016), an increase of 4% compared to the 2014-15 fiscal year (€103.6m), the club announced at its general assembly on 21/11/2016.

This turnover is the highest in Werder's history for a season without participation in a European Cup. The club announced a 2015-16 net profit of €2.8m, whereas it had a posted net loss of €5.9m in 2014-15. 2015-16 is the first year in which the club had a net profit since 2010-11. During the previous four seasons, from 2011-12 to 2014-15, the club had accumulated losses of €37.5m.

"We said last year that we have entered the consolidation goal and we have consistently maintained the course. We can also put the sails bravely on the sporty difficult water. We have never lost sight of our balance of sporting competitiveness, social responsibility and economic reason, and will not give up this attitude again," said Klaus Filbry, the CEO of Werder Bremen, on 21/11/2016.
