AFCON: Eurosport acquires TV rights for the UK and Ireland for the 2017 and 2019 editions

Eurosport has acquired broadcasting rights, for the United Kingdom and Ireland, to the 2017 and 2019 editions of the Africa Cup of Nations, announced the pay-TV group on 30/11/2016. The rights, acquired by the British subsidiary of US media company Discovery Communications, are also valid on digital and mobile platforms.

Eurosport, the broadcaster of AFCON on the British Isles since 1994, will show the Total African Cup of Nations 2017 in Gabon on the pay-TV channels Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2, from 14/01 to 05/02/2017. All matches will also be available to subscribers via the Eurosport Player OTT platform.
