Facebook: Top 100 European clubs with the most fans (December 2016)

With 94.91 million fans, FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) are the most followed European club on Facebook, according to data compiled by News Tank Football, which includes a list of the Top 100 of the most popular European clubs on this social network, as of 01/12/2016.

Barcelona remain ahead of Real Madrid CF, who count 93.02 million fans on Facebook. With more than 464,000 new fans in the past month, Real Madrid are the Top 5 club who garnered the most new fans since November 2016. The podium of overall number of Facebook fans is completed by Manchester United FC (Premier League), with 71.78 million.

OGC Nice (Ligue 1, +5.8%) posted the best percentage growth of the tTp 100 European clubs, ahead of Toulouse FC (Ligue 1, +3.1%) and Real Betis Balompié (LaLiga Santander, +2.7%).

In November 2016, FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) became the fifth club to reach the 40 million fans on Facebook.
