Facebook: 67.54 million fans in total for the 18 Bundesliga clubs (December 2016)

The 18 clubs in the 2016-17 Bundesliga season have a cumulative total of 67.54 million fans on the social network Facebook, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 01/12/2016. The Bundesliga had previously become, in September 2016, the third most followed European Top 5 league on Facebook, behind the Premier League and LaLiga Santander.

FC Bayern Munich are the most followed German club on Facebook, with 40.1 million fans, up 392,800 (+1%) compared to November 2016. The Bavarian club drew more new fans than all the other 17 Bundesliga clubs combined during the last month. With 14.98 million fans, Borussia Dortmund are the second most popular German club. FC Schalke 04, with 2.87 million fans, complete the podium.

With a 22% increase (from 191,200 to 233,200), RB Leipzig are the club of all the Top 5 leagues which recorded the best percentage growth on Facebook between November and December 2016.
