Facebook: 43.04 million fans in total for the 20 Ligue 1 clubs (December 2016)

The 20 clubs in the 2016-17 Ligue 1 season have a cumulative total of 43.04 million fans on the social network Facebook, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 01/12/2016. Ligue 1 is therefore the least followed of the European Top 5 leagues on Facebook, with 2.15 million fans on average per club.

Paris Saint-Germain are the most followed French club on Facebook (25,650,000 fans), an increase of 135,000 since November 2016. PSG alone comprise up 59.59% of the Facebook fans of Ligue 1. With 4.88 million fans, Olympique de Marseille are the second most followed French club. AS Monaco, with 3.91 million fans, complete the podium.

With a 5.8% increase in fans (from 378,700 to 400,700), OGC Nice are the Ligue 1 club which recorded the best percentage growth on Facebook in November 2016.
