Facebook: 213,420,000 fans in total for the 20 LaLiga Santander clubs (December 2016)

The 20 clubs in the 2016-17 LaLiga Santander season have a cumulative total of 213,420,000 fans on the social network Facebook, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 01/12/2016. This total makes LaLiga Santander the second most popular league on Facebook in the European Top 5, behind the Premier League, with 10.67 million fans on average per club.

FC Barcelona are the most followed Spanish club with 94.91 million fans, up 301,800 (+0.3%) compared with November 2016. The club is closely followed by Real Madrid CF (93.02 million, +0.5%). Real Madrid are the Top 5 club with the most new fans (+464,000) in November 2016. Third in Spain on Facebook, Club Atletico de Madrid have 13.55 million fans on Facebook, more than the other 17 LaLiga clubs together.
