Facebook: 74.46 million fans in total for the 20 Serie A TIM clubs (December 2016)

The 20 clubs in the 2016-17 Serie A TIM season have a cumulative total of 74.46 million fans on the social network Facebook, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 01/12/2016. Serie A TIM is thus the fourth most followed European Top 5 league on this platform, behind the Premier League, the Bundesliga, and LaLiga Santander, with 3.72 million fans on average per club.

Juventus are the most followed Italian club on Facebook, with 25.18 million fans, an increase of 73,100 (+0.3%) compared since November 2016. AC Milan are the second most followed Italian club in terms of number of Facebook fans, with 24.8 million fans. AS Roma, with 8.34 million followers, complete the podium.

With 2.7% increase (from 162,200 to 166,500 fans), Atalanta BC are the Italian club with the best percentage growth in Facebook fans between November and December 2016. The 20 Italian clubs gained around 10,300 fans on average in November 2016, the lowest gain of the Top 5 leagues.
