Ligue 1: 11.46 million Twitter followers for the 20 clubs (December 2016)

The 20 clubs in the 2016-17 Ligue 1 season have a cumulative 11.46 million followers on the social network Twitter, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 01/12/2016. Ligue 1 thus ranks fourth in the Top 5 leagues, behind LaLiga Santander, the Premier League, and the Serie A TIM, with an average of 573,426 followers per club.

Paris Saint-Germain are the most followed French club, with 3.99 million followers, up 78,452 (+2%) compared to November 2016. Olympique de Marseille (2^nd, 1.82 million ) and AS Monaco (3^rd, 1.15 million) round out the podium.

The 20 French clubs recorded the least number of new Twitter followers on average of the Top 5 (+10,006) in November 2016.
