The 18 clubs in the 2016-17 Bundesliga season have a cumulative 9.09 million followers on the social network Twitter, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 01/12/2016. The Bundesliga is the least followed Top 5 league on this platform, with an average of 505,226 followers per club.

FC Bayern Munich are the most followed German club, with 3.14 million followers, an increase of 55,993 (+1.8%) compared with November 2016. Bayern are the 11th most popular European club on Twitter. Borussia Dortmund (2nd, 2.41 million) and FC Schalke 04 (3rd, 467,000) complete the German podium. These three clubs have a cumulative 6.01 million followers, or 66.16% of all 18 Bundesliga clubs.

With an 8.3% increase in followers (from 65,900 to 71,386), RB Leipzig are the Bundesliga club with the best percentage growth on Twitter in November 2016.
