2016 Club World Cup: seven teams and eight matches, in Japan, from 08 to 18/12/2016

The 13th edition of the Club World Cup brings together the champions of the six confederations and the winner of the Japanese first division, the host country, in Yokohama and Osaka, from 08 to 18/12/2016.

Eight matches will be played over five days at the two sites. The competition begins at the Yokohama International Stadium, on Thursday, 08/12/2016 (kick-off at 19:30 local time, 11:30 CET), with the first round match between Kashima Antlers (Japan), recent winners of the J-League, and Auckland City FC (New Zealand), who won the 2016 OFC Champions League for the sixth consecutive time.

The other five participating clubs:
• Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), winner of the 2016 CAF Champions League
• Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors (South Korea), winner of the 2016 AFC Champions League
• Real Madrid CF (Spain), winner of the 2015-16 UEFA Champions League
• Club América (Mexico), winner of the 2015-16 CONCACAF Champions League
• Atlético Nacional Medellin (Colombia), winner of the 2016 Copa Libertadores, and thus the CONMEBOL representative
