FC Barcelona: socios regret too many tourists at the Camp Nou for El Clasico

"Seguiment FCB are asking for a profound reflection on the allocation process, management, and control of tickets for the matches between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. We want the tickets to be sold at lower prices to non-season ticket holders first, then members of fan clubs, and the option to sell tickets to tourists as the last option," stated Seguiment FCB, an association of socios of FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander), on 04/12/2016.

The press release of Seguiment FCB was published the day after the first El Clasico of the season between Barcelona and Real Madrid (1-1, Matchday 14 of LaLiga Santander), which was attended by 98,485 spectators at the Camp Nou on 03/12/2016, a better single game attendance than any club in all of the Top 5 leagues since the beginning of the 2016-17 season. After the match, many Barça supporters complained of the high number of tourists present in the stands of the Camp Nou, as some do not hide their support for Real.
