MLS: Fox Sports to broadcast the Seattle - Toronto final in virtual reality on 10/12/2016

Fox Sports will broadcast, in partnership with the virtual reality platform LiveLike, the final of the Audi MLS Cup between Toronto FC - Seattle Sounders FC (on Saturday, 10/12/2016) in virtual reality, announced the pay-TV group on 06/12/2016. The webcast will be available via the Fox Sports VR app available on iOS and Android platforms, as well as via the virtual reality headset Samsung Gear VR.

"During the match, viewers can choose to watch any of five camera angles with or without a headset. They can also enter a 'virtual suite' with access to rosters and live stats. The match will also include a first-of-its-kind VR replay feature for iOS users, allowing viewers to rewind the game in 30-second increments going as far back as 30 minutes, as well as the ability to control replays from different camera angles," said the broadcaster.

Also in the "virtual suite", the German automaker Audi, title sponsor of the MLS Cup, displays the brand and gives access to live statistics via its "Audi player index", launched for the 2016 MLS season.
