The FA: Nike to continue as kit supplier of the England national teams until 2030 (press)

The American sports equipment brand Nike will continue as the FA's kit supplier for another 12 years (2018-2030), for a total of £400m (€475m at 09/12/2016), or £33.3m (€39.5m) per season, according to British media on 06/12/2016, and cited by a source within the French Football Federation.

Nike became the official supplier of the England football teams in March 2013, and its current contract runs until the end of the World Cup 2018. It is valued between £25m and £30m annually (between €29.7m and €35.6m). Nike had succeeded the British-born brand Umbro, which was owned by the American brand between 2007 and 2012, and which had been the technical sponsor of the FA since the 1950s.

Unlike the 2013-2018 contract, the renewal agreement contains bonus clauses based on the sporting performance of the England men's national team, who were eliminated in the Round of 16 of Euro 2016 by Iceland (1-2 on 27/06/2016), and celebrated the 50^th anniversary, on 30/07/2016, of its only major international title, the 1966 World Cup played on home soil.
