Bayer Leverkusen (3rd in the Bundesliga in 2012/13) woud like to find a charity to feature on their 2013/14 shirts, Wolfgang Holzhäuser, the club's managing director, announced on the 24/07/2013.

"We are having talks now," Holzhäuser said. "We have had some inquiries from some companies that also wanted to pay a lot. But we also have our ideas regarding sustainability and image."

Leverkusen have received several offers from companies wanting to replace Sunpower, the U.S. solar panel manufacturer, who had been the club's main shirt sponsor since 2011/12. Sunpower had payed Bayer Leverkusen €6.5m per year. Despite ending its shirt sponsorship, the American company will remain the club's partner.

According to several German sources, the marketing agency Sportfive, which manages Leverkusen's partnerships, pay a guaranteed sponsorship fee to the club. It would be worth several million Euros, and would explain this choice made by Bayer Leverkusen's executives.
