Olympique Lyonnais: formalisation in Beijing of entry of Chinese fund IDG into the capital (20%)

Jean-Michel Aulas, president of Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1), formalised the entrance into the capital of OL Groupe, the holding company which owns the club, of the Chinese investment fund IDG Capital Partners, at a press conference at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Beijing (China), in the presence of Hugo Shong and Jianguang Li, representatives of IDG, on 13/12/2016.

"We came to Beijing to formalise the entrance into the capital (of the club) of IDG at 20%, and also the entry of two new directors to the board of OL," said Jean-Michel Aulas. The amount of the investment by IDG is €100m (€30m to be paid between 16 and 31/12/2016 and €70 million to be paid at the latest by 28/02/2017). The arrival of two IDG representatives to the board of OL was ratified at the General Assembly of the OL Groupe.
