Ligue 1: 11 PSG players among the 14 best paid players of the French league, according to L'Equipe

Six players from Paris Saint-Germain (Thiago Silva, Angel Di Maria, Edinson Cavani, Thiago Motta, Javier Pastore, and Blaise Matuidi) are top six best paid players in Ligue 1, and seven (with Marco Verratti) are among the top 10, and 11 (with Hetem Ben Arfa, Kevin Trapp, Marquinhos, and Grzegorz Krychowiak), among the top 14, according to the ranking of Ligue 1 salaries presented by the French sports daily L'Equipe on 16/12/2016.

"There are estimates and the amounts given are gross monthly salaries (in €) and do not take account individual premiums written into the contracts (signing bonuses or other clauses) or collective bonuses defined by each club," said L'Equipe.

In the top 30 (see below) "are the highest paid footballers of the four most powerful clubs (PSG 13 players, AS Monaco 3, Olympique Lyonnais 8, and Olympique de Marseille 3) plus two players from OGC Nice and one from FC Girondins de Bordeaux," summarised L'Equipe.
