2016: G. Infantino and A. Ceferin, two forty year olds at the head of world and European football

• On 26/02/2016, Gianni Infantino (ITA-SUI), 45 years old at the time, became the eighth president of FIFA, during the extraordinary congress of the international federation, held in Zurich (SUI). He received 115 votes of 207 cast (55.5%) in the second round, 88 votes more than his opponent, Salman Bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa (BHR).
