Africa: Orange (telecom) becomes official sponsor of five CAF competitions for 2017-2024

The French telecom group Orange has become an official sponsor of five CAF competitions over eight years (2017-2024), announced the Confederation of African Football on 16/12/2016. Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed.

Orange was the title sponsor of the African Cup of Nations and the official sponsor of African football during the 2009-2016 period, before the French oil group Total succeeded Orange in this role, following an agreement concluded for eight seasons (2017-2024) with CAF on 21/07/2016.

The new partnership between Orange and CAF covers the 2017 (Gabon), 2019 (Cameroon), 2021 (Ivory Coast), and 2023 (Guinea) editions of the Total African Cup of Nations. It also covers the U-20 Total African Cup of Nations (U-20 AFCON), the Total Women's African Cup of Nations, the Total CAF Champions League, and the Total CAF Super Cup.
