LaLiga Santander: more than 3.9 million viewers in Spain for Matchday 16 of the 2016-17 season

At least 3.907 million viewers in Spain watched 9 of the 10 games of Matchday 16 of the 2016-17 LaLiga Santander season, from 16/12 to 19/12/2016. The Valencia CF - Real Madrid CF match has been postponed due to Madrid, winners of the 2015-16 UEFA Champions League, playing the Club World Cup in Japan, which it won with a victory in the final against the Japanese club Kashima Antlers (4 -2, a.e.t.), on 18/12/2016.

The highest audience of the weekend was for FC Barcelona - RCD Espanyol (4-1), which drew 1.164 million viewers on average on the pay-TV channel Movistar Partidazo on Sunday 18/12/2016 (20:45 CET). This figure represented an audience share of 6.1% for the channel of the Telefonica group, which ranked first in the Spanish market for pay-TV for the entire day.

Club Atlético de Madrid - UD Las Palmas (1-0) drew 481,000 viewers on the pay-TV channel beIN LaLiga, on Saturday, 17/12/2016 (16:15) for an audience share of 3.7% for the channel launched by Mediapro and beIN Media Group.
