Matchday 17 of the 2016-17 Premier League season drew an average 34,160 spectators per game, for an average stadium fill rate of 96%, from 17/12 to 19/12/2016. The average attendance of the English first division is currently 35,683 fans per game (average stadium fill rate: 96%) on the season.

West Ham United - Hull City (1-0) registered the highest attendance, with 56,952 spectators at London Stadium (60,000 seats, stadium fill rate: 99.9%).

Nine games drew more than 25,000 spectators on Matchday 17 - a record in 2016-17 - and eight games of 10 showed a stadium fill rate of 97% or more.

  • The 20 Premier League clubs registered an average of 36,409 spectators per game in 2015-16.
