2018 World Cup: the 11 host cities received specifications for building or renovating their stadiums

Experts group Arena-2018, created to manage the design and construction of the stadiums for the 2018 World Cup in Russia, have presented the 11 host cities the Stadium Requirements Handbook, on the 23/07 and 24/07/2013 in Moscow (RUS).

During two days, the workshop was attended by more than 60 specialists and experts from companies involved in the construction of the 2018 World Cup stadiums, along with representatives of regional ministries and international consultants.

The specifications were developed jointly by FIFA (International Federation of Association Football) and Arena-2018. The document gathers the requirements of FIFA in terms of infrastructures and standards set on the experience of previous World Cups.

The estimated budget for the organization of the 2018 World Cup in Russia is €21bn, according to Russia's sport minister Vitaly Mutko, speaking on the 11/06/2013.
