Chelsea FC (Premier League) posted a turnover of £329.1m (or €398.1m on 30/06/2016) during the 2015-16 fiscal year (01/07/2015 - 30/06/2016), up 5% from 2015 (£314.3m / €443.2m at the time), announced the English club, on 16/12/2016. The turnover increased in pounds but has regressed in euros, because of the large variation of the pound-euro conversion rate between June 2015 and June 2016 (£1 = €1.41 on 30/06/2015 against £1 = €1.20 on 30/06/2016).

Chelsea FC recorded a profit (before exceptional costs) of £4.7m (€5.6m) on 30/06/2016, but closed the 2015-16 fiscal year with a net loss of £70.6m (€85.3m), a 205% change (+£23.1m / +€32.6m) compared to the 2014-15 fiscal year. This net loss is mainly explained by higher exceptional costs (£75.3m, €91m), including the Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho being sacked in December 2015, and the amount paid by the club to adidas to end their partnership at the end of the 2016-17 season, six years before the term originally planned for 2022-23 season (see below).
