BAMTech, a subsidiary specialising in MLB Advanced Media (MLBAM) online video, has acquired exclusive streaming rights to the game game "League of Legends" for six years until 2023 with its American publisher Riot Games on 16/12/2016. The agreement is estimated at a minimum of $300m (€287.8m), or $50m (€48m) per year according to US media.

To promote the acquisition of the most popular eSports game, BAMTech will launch a streaming platform in 2017, accessible via smartphone and computer, to monetise its exclusivity, thanks to the sponsorship and advertising. BAMTech will also ensure the provision of content for other distribution platforms like Youtube or Twitch. The content on Twitch and YouTube should still be free in 2017 with the possibility of access to paid premium content, according to some specialised sites.

"As an innovator in digital sponsorship and media sales, BAMTech will help us unlock long-lasting and meaningful value for our digital sport as it matures. On our side, BAMTech will take to heart build a professional environment of League of Legends," said Riot Games…
