Australia: Foxtel extends its TV rights of the Hyundai A-League for 2017-2023

The pay-TV groups Foxtel and Fox Sports, as well as the Australian media conglomerate News Corp Australia, have extended their Hyundai A-League broadcasting rights, via the FFA, for another six years, announced the Australian groups on 20/12/2016. Audiovisual rights awarded by the FFA also include the women's first division (W-League), friendly matches of the Australian men's national team, the matches of the Australian women's national team, and matches of the FFA Cup.

Foxtel, a joint venture between the Australian media conglomerate News Corp Australia (US group Fox) and the telecom operator Telstra, will continue to broadcast the entirety of the A-League via the Foxtel TV channels on Fox Sports, the Foxtel Go app, and the subscription TV services of Foxtel Play (relaunched on the 01/12/2016).
