Digital: deltatre and LiveLike sign a strategic partnership around virtual reality

deltatre, a company specialising in digital solutions for broadcasters and organisers of sports events, and the American virtual reality production company LiveLike have signed an agreement to "provide digital solutions including virtual reality solutions to major global sporting events," on 13/12/2016.

"The two companies will collaborate on the development of a multi-platform VR application, including Samsung Gear VR (Oculus) and mobile-based experiences, tailored for broadcasting the most important football tournaments over the next few years. The collaboration will extend to other sports and build on both companies’ expertise in live productions," said the two entities in a joint statement.

"We are combining the best aspects of a LiveLike broadcast, including our trademark 'VR Suite', with Deltatre's expertise in next-generation digital services. Together, we will further elevate live VR sports broadcasting and provide fans an experience that they've never seen before," said Miheer Walavalkar, chief business officer of LiveLike, on 13/12/2016.
