"Regarding ethics, doping, public service delegation or relations between the professional and the amateur structures within football clubs, the approach is always fragmented," said Valerie Fourneyron, French Minister of Sports, Youth, Popular Education and Community Life, to News Tank Football on the 25/07/2013.

Aiming at a comprehensive approach and the overhaul of the French football business model, Valerie Fourneyron announced the launch of a working group dedicated to 'Sustainable Football' on the 16/07/2013. This group will be chaired by former Minister Jean Glavany, and its findings, which will be released by the end of 2013, will contribute to the framework of the law on sport that Valerie Fourneyron will present to the Parliament in 2014.

"Sustainable football is not only about the consideration of revenues and expenditures. This reflection should lead to a social cohesion project, an educational project," the Minister added.
