Bundesliga: Eurosport, Sky and Perform extend TV rights (2017-2021) in Switzerland and Austria

Eurosport, Sky and Perform have extended their broadcasting rights for Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga for the period 2017 to 2021 in Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and the South Tyrol region (Italy), announced DFL Sports Enterprises, on 21/12/2016. These groups had acquired part of the German home entertainment rights on 09/06/2016 (see detail below).

Sky gets for these additional countries, such as Germany, the majority rights of the Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga. Eurosport continues exactly the same rights as in Germany, 40 Bundesliga matches on Friday evenings (20:30 CET) and on Sunday afternoons (13:30) and Monday night (20:30), the relegation-promotion play-off between the Bundesliga and the 2.Bundesliga, the relegation-promotion between the 2.Bundesliga, 3.Liga and Supercup Germany. Perform Group will do the same with the summary clips of the Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga that the group will broadcast via its subscription platform sports DAZN.
