Premier League: attendance for Matchdays 18 and 19 of 2016-17, Man United draw the top crowds

Matchday 18 of the 2016-17 Premier League season - played from 26 to 28/12/2016 - drew an average of 37,932 spectators per game and Matcdahy 19 day drew an average of 37,548 spectators per game from 30/12/2016 to 01/01/2017. The average attendance of the English top division is currently 35,715 spectators per game on the season (average fill rate: 96%).

Hosting Sunderland (3-1, 75,325 spectators, on 26/12/2016), then Middlesbrough (2-1, 75,314 spectators, on 31/12/2016), Manchester United recorded the two best crowds of Matchdays 18 and 19, with both games posting a fill rate above 99.5% at Old Trafford.

During the two matchdays, the 10 home teams were the same, which explains why the average attendance was very similar during these games, of which 14 of the 20 games recorded a fill rate above 98%.
