SIS 2017: conference on sustainable innovation in sport, in Munich (GER) on 22 and 23/02/2017

The conference "Sustainable Innovation in Sport 2017", organized by the NGO Climate Action, is scheduled on Wednesday 22 and Thursday, 23/02/2017, at the Holiday Inn in Munich (GER). The first edition of the event took place on 07/12/2015 at the Stade de France (Saint-Denis), as part of the COP21.

The event aill gather more than 200 leaders from governments, the United Nations, sports (leagues, clubs, and agencies), media, and sponsors, who will discuss the role of sport in sustainable development and the fight against climate change, and will present initiatives and technologies already in place.

"This two day meeting will deep dive into how the wider industry can impact the reduction of carbon emissions of large scale sports by ensuring sustainable operations, as well as how we can engage and educate consumers and fans more broadly to encourage sustainable behaviour change," stated the organisers.
