Manchester City: a hackathon to develop "creative ways to employ new technologies" (10-12 /02/2017)

Manchester City FC (Premier League) are organising its second hackathon at the City Football Academy, the club's training center from 10 to 12/02/2016. Participants in this event organised in partnership with the search engine Google will aim to come up "with creative ways to employ new technologies or digital means that create a sense of belonging among our global fan base."

60 people took part in the first hackathon set up by Manchester City, which was to "discover a new vision on player performance" in July 2017. The club invites programmers, designers, researchers, social media experts, and students to participate in the second edition, opened all persons over 18 years of age.

"From our first hackathon to our co-created website, among many other activities, we've witnessed first-hand that great ideas can come from anywhere. By engaging in open conversation with a diverse and passionate community, we've been able to uncover new paths to explore together.
