Facebook: 214,910,000 fans in total for the 20 clubs LaLiga Santander (January 2017)

The 20 clubs in the 2016-17 LaLiga Santander season have a cumulative total of 214,910,000 fans on the social network Facebook, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 02/01/2017. This total makes LaLiga Santander the second most followed European Top 5 league on Facebook, behind the Premier League, with 10.74 million fans on average per club.

FC Barcelona are the most followed Spanish club, with 95.42 million fans, up 514,900 (+0.5%) compared to early December 2016. Barça are closely followed by Real Madrid CF ( 93,930,000 fans, +1%), the European club with the most new fans (+908,100) in the last month of 2016.

FC Barcelona and Real Madrid CF together count 189,360,000 fans, or 88% of the total of all LaLiga Santander clubs, and more than the total of the 58 clubs in the Serie A TIM, the Bundesliga and Ligue 1 combined.
