Facebook: 67.98 million fans in total for the 18 Bundesliga clubs (January 2017)

The 18 clubs in the 2016-17 Bundesliga season have a cumulative total of 67.98 million fans on the social network Facebook, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 02/01/2016. The Bundesliga is the third most popular European Top 5 league on Facebook, behind the Premier League and LaLiga Santander, with 3.77 million fans on average per club.

Bayern Munich remain the most followed German club, with 40.37 million fans, up 273,000 (+0.7%) compared to December 2016. Bayern posted the fifth best fan growth of all Top 5 clubs in the past month, and drew more new followers than all other 17 Bundesliga clubs combined in December 2016.

At 11.6% (from 233,200 to 260,270), RB Leipzig posted the best percentage growth on Facebook of the Top 5 clubs between 01/12/2016 and 01/01/2017.
