Twitter: 14.28 million total followers for the 20 Serie A TIM clubs (January 2017)

The 20 clubs in the 2016-17 Serie A TIM season have a cumulative total of14.28 million followers on the social network Twitter, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 02/01/2017. The Serie A TIM is the third most followed of the European Top 5 leagues, behind LaLiga Santander and the Premier League, with 714,396 followers on average per club followers.

AC Milan are the most followed Italian club, with 4.15 million followers, an increase of 73,532 (+1.8%) compared to December 2016. Juventus (2nd, 3.72 million) and AS Roma (3rd, 1.22 million) complete the Italian podium. These three clubs have a cumulative 8.9 million followers, or 63% of the total of all 20 clubs in the Serie A TIM.

At 9% (10,625 to 11,577), FC Crotone are the club in the Top 5 leagues which recorded the best percentage growth on Twitter in December 2016, but the club is still by far the least followed overall.
